Yes& was founded in Houston, TX (and a beach in Surfside, TX) around the end of 2019. Our name represents the first rule of improvisation which is a way to accept what another person is saying and expand on that line of thinking. It’s a way of brainstorming and collaborating that allows for there to always be more. “Yes, and…” is also a book by Richard Rohr that gives guidance to our daily spiritual and meditation practice.
Our entire team has spent many years in the non-profit industry and during that time we have employed many different consulting firms. We founded Yes& with the main goal to bring affordable technology and consulting to small- and medium-size organizations.

To help fuel innovation and change we are committed to Pledge 1% of our time, effort, and funds to philanthropic causes every year. We believe we can do more than just this, but we know this is a great place to start.
We founded Yes& to engender good and create positive, lasting change in the world. However, we believe this should be more than a company motto; it should be reinforced with action.
Inspired by the Pledge 1% movement – a promise made by participating for-profit companies to support philanthropic endeavors with at least 1% of their staff time, product, profit, or equity – we regularly commit our resources to non-profit organizations on a pro bono basis. In addition, we offer corporate matching for employees who wish to contribute to non-profits of their choosing.
While the reach is modest, we believe 1% is the least that should be done and we look forward to continuing to expand how we support worthwhile missions outside of our business model.
